You can obtain your reader’s card from online. You can first log in your wechat account, and get your reader’s card within one minute. Regardless which country or city you come from, so long as you are in Ningbo, you can do like this. Then you can get the various services of our library without physically being here.

Online Talks: meeting us no matter where

Going to the library for a talk every weekend has become a habit for many of us. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our talks have been transferred online. Our wechat account tells the readers what lectures are available so you can meet us from no matter where.

Online book recommendations

We would like to recommend the interesting books for you from wechat account. We will refer to the books you have borrowed and make the relevant recommendations. Our “Tianyi Online Reading” series recommend books of different themes, and you are always welcomed to join our online discussions. We also provide lectures on how to use our data base, which is very informative and can equip you within 10 minutes of learning.

Mailing services of books borrowed

If you prefer paperbacks, you can not miss this mailing service. Since 2017, we have provided this service of mailing your books home. If you have good credits, this service is available for you. The fees are at its most 6 yuan RMB. Are you among the borrowers of 920000 borrowers?

Reservations

 The new branch of library has at its most boasted 9757 readers within one day. But during the pandemic, only 200 people were allowed to enter. We had begun our reservation services since then. You have to make the reservation one day before; and do remember to sign out when you leave. If you fail to sign in after making the reservation, you are not allowed to visit our library within 7 days.

The LED screen that shows the basic data

The data of borrowing and returning are available on the LED screen on the first floor. This screen also shows which area is busy and which is not. You can choose a comfortable place according to this data and read your books there, thus saving your efforts!

Besides the bookshelf, there are screens with book information; there are altogether 100 such screens in our library.

Face Identification for borrowing books—another way

If you happen to forget your ID card, you can still use your face identification. Many readers like this function a lot. You can choose this way if you like!

Robots services

We have altogether 3 robots with different functions. Robots number one can answer your questions, and you can meet him on the first floor next to the service desk. Robot number two are specially designed for the kids. It can sing and dance and have won the approvals of young kids; amd robot number three is incharge of cleaning and sweeping .It continues to work even after the library is closed.
