On July 10, the unveiling ceremony of "Sports @ Future - 2023 See + Ningbo and Friendship Cities(Asia) Children's Painting Competition Excellent Works Exhibition" was held in the function hall on the first floor of the Ningbo Library new branch. Ye Rongzhong, secretary of the Party Committee of the Foreign Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, Jiang Wuji, deputy director of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and other leaders attended the ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Ye Rongzhong, secretary of the Party Committee of the Foreign Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, mentioned in his speech that at the special moment when the 19th Asian Games will be held, the "Children's Painting Competition Excellent Works Exhibition" will be held to show the charm of sports and the spirit of united and progressive of young people, Add glory to the successful hosting of the Asian Games!

Jiang Wuji, deputy director of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, said that this event was the result of deepening youth exchanges and cultural cooperation between Ningbo and its friendship cities in Asia. As an important window for cultural communication and exchange, we hoped that the library could actively play the role of an international cultural exchange base and became an important platform for cultural exchange and mutual learning.

Rakhmanov Khamidjon, consul of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai expressed the hope to take this event as an opportunity to further promote friendly exchanges between the cities of Uzbekistan and Ningbo and continue to strengthen practical cooperation with China in various fields.

Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, director of the Foreign Affairs Department of Haiphong city of Vietnam, mentioned that this was the second time that Haiphong children had participated in the international painting competition organized by Ningbo Library, which helped to enhance the understanding and friendship between Vietnam and China, especially Haiphong and Ningbo children.

Representatives of domestic and foreign first prize winners delivered speeches, expressing gratitude for this event giving them the opportunity to show themselves. As a two-time judge Lin Shaoling also expressed his views on the competition, he said that painting was the voice of his heart, and children's paintings had unique artistic appeal and were precious.

Since the submission of the competition, a total of 834 selected entries have been received, including 393 domestic works and 441 foreign works. The exhibition brings together 130 award-winning works from 11 cities in 7 countries, including China, Vietnam, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Japan, Nepal and Iran. Among them, there are 61 foreign works and 69 works from our city.

These works have different styles, ingenious and creative ideas, delicate painting techniques, filled with modern and international painting style, combined with the elements of the Asian Games and the characteristic sports of various countries, vividly depict the dynamic and hopeful sports scenes, as well as the rich expressions and dynamics of the characters. With rich colors and flexible lines, it shows the love for sports and the unique imagination for the future. See + Ningbo and Friendship Cities(Asia) Children's Painting Competition has been held for three years.
